Components for electromagnetic sensors, actuators and valve technology

What are the benefits of a sensor, actuator or valve housing?

The increasing automation and electronic control in every area of technology have made sensors and actuators indispensable.

Electromagnets are used in countless industrial sectors and in also mobile applications and serve to control or regulates processes in machines and vehicles. These systems require a casing in the form of a housing, sleeve or jacket to function without interference. While these housings may initially appear very simple,

their primary task is to concentrate and strengthen the magnetic field inside by preventing it from spreading while also maintaining the magnetic field lines. In addition, these housings also protect against external influences such as moisture, damage, and vibration.

A magnet housing has demanding shape requirements and position tolerances to enable the housing to be precisely integrated into the overall system. Changes to the material properties caused by the deep drawing or forming process must be taken into account when selecting the material, as the end product must have a defined magnetic flux. The optimum magnetic flux on the component is achieved by different wall thicknesses. In turn, these are created by compression or displacement during the deep-drawing process.

Various geometries can be implemented to meet your specific requirements with regard to the installation situation and structure of the electromagnet. At MAYRHÖNES, we use our many years of experience and expertise to support the development of reliable and cost-effective production with high quality standards.
