The challenge with this magnet housing lies in the forming of the material, which has been processed far beyond the limits of manufacturability. In order to obtain this high-precision end product, heat treatment, testing and straightening processes are required in addition to deep drawing.
Initially, the deep-drawn blank of the component was machined, but this was bypassed by our changeover, which enabled the customer to realise considerable savings potential.
